During my recent knee replacement operation at Springfield Hospital, I found the care I received in all areas to be excellent. I was particularly impressed with the friendliness and approachability of all the staff across all disciplines and noted the extent to which they supported each other working very well as a team. Perhaps the only small incident was having to wait 45 minutes during the night following my operation for urgently need pain relief tablets. As well as the nursing and physiotherapy staff, my consultant and anaesthetist were both superb ensuring that my stay at Springfield was a far more relaxed and positive experience than I might have anticipated.

My stay although short was very comfortable. The rooms are clean and the staff are courteous, pleasant, caring and took the time to explain things to me. I could not fault them and would thoroughly recommend this hospital.

Springfield medical centre is an example how hospitals should be run. From the moment I was confirmed as an in patient, my pre admittance routine was excellent, when I was an in patient every thing was perfect. The operation went very well and the aftercare was second to none. If an when I have my left knee replaced this will be my hospital of choice.

The whole experience was like being in 5 star hotel. The service was great ,the nurses attentive to your needs and always with a smile. The one comment I would make is that the shower in the bath in your room should have a rubber bath mat as the wet bath is very slippery when standing having a shower.

I built a very good relationship with the Oncology nurses during my chemo treatment. Towards the end of the treatment, when I was only receiving Herceptin, I found my hospital visits were almost like a social call. These are the things that make a very difficult situation far more bearable. Thank you.
